I'm Brandi C., the breeder behind Mayberry Acres Beagles and Basset Hounds located in Judsonia, AR. Hello! We responsibly breed happy, healthy, throughly healthy tested AKC Beagles and Basset Hounds for families to enjoy! In addition to breeding for intelligence, breed standards, and wonderful temperament. I also am a professional trainer and owner of Expert Dog Training & compete in the AKC for scent work. Our dogs are our babies and live in the house with me. We also own an animal sanctuary that is kept at my home.

  • Why did you start breeding?

    I got into breeding after years of special consideration, & after discovering beagles were our family favorite breed, and adopting beagles with multiple genetic issues they could have been prevented, our hearts broke time and time again; until I finally decided I can’t put our family through this anymore and decided to invest my heart into breeding quality dogs for families to get to fully enjoy.

  • What makes your program special?

    Our breeding program is special because we are a household of professional trainers with trainers always on site and handling the puppies. I have administrated over 12 dog training companies. I am a registered nurse as well, with extra courses in canine nutrition, dog cpr & first aide, and here they are well socialized to other dogs, children, & farm animals! I specialize/compete in scent work!

  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

    Our Beagle puppies include 13-inch and 15-inch sizes. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our Beagle puppies include black tan and white, black and tan, and lemon and white. Basset Hound puppies include red and white, lemon and white, and black brown and white. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Getting a puppy from Brandi

Brandi has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.

After buyers complete the application and screening process, Brandi partners with them to find the best puppy match.

Price

Puppy prices include a $925 non-refundable deposit and between $575 - $1,925 final payment, before taxes & fees.

“The price includes health guarantee, socialization, deworming, AKC registration paperwork, and first vaccines. All of our puppies are the same price with limited registration. Price is varied only between breeds.”

Contract & health guarantee

Brandi may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase.     Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.

  • Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)

    Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.
