I'm McCarthy R., the breeder behind McCarthy Ranchette LLC located in San Diego, CA. Our journey with breeding started with a passion for breeding quality sheep. The partnership with our dogs became central. We have created a program built around genetic and health and orthopedic testing, and central focus on temperament, through mentorship with other breeders we highly respect.

The look of a good boyyy! Prospect Pyrs Lobo, our amazing male.

McCarthy R.
We took our one year old male Lobo (Prospect Pyrs Lobo) to a UKC show this weekend and boy was he spectacular! This sweet boy at OUR FIRST EVER SHOW won 🏆 Best in Show, A Reserve Best in Show, 3 Best of Groups and 4 Best of Breed under 4 different judges! 🥇 Shows can be long days but Lobo enjoyed all the nap time in between the events. It’s our first time focusing on shows because we do want our dogs to be able to prove conformation too. Thank you, @prospectpyreneesllc for allowing us to have Lobo. We adore him. Thank you sincerely to Judge Karyn Juelch, Judge Jerry Brown, Judge Frances Conner and Judge Kim Davis! We are grateful and learned so much.
