Meet the breeder

I'm Laura M., the breeder behind McClelland Doodles located in Gastonia, NC. We are a small family breeder located in North Carolina who strives to raise healthy, beautiful puppies. Our moms and dads have wonderful temperaments and are genetically and OFA hip/elbow tested. We believe that healthy puppies start with healthy parents!

Q. & A. with Laura

  • Why did you start breeding?

We brought our goldendoodle, Allie, home in 2010 and she was the perfect dog for our family.  She was smart, easy to train, great with our children (and everyone she met), and we didn't have to deal with fur all over the place!  We knew then and there that we wanted to breed doodles so that others could experience the joy of owning one of these real-life teddy bears!
  • What makes your program special?

We invest a lot of time, energy, and love into our puppies. High-quality food, health testing, vet care, purchasing top of the line moms/dads, ect, can all add up, however we hope to offer high-quality puppies that receive high-quality care, at a reasonable price for families. We do genetic, OFA, and coat testing and raise our puppies on the popular "Puppy Culture" program - including ENS.
  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

Our puppies include miniature, medium, and standard sizes. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

They live in my home and guardian homes.
