I'm Carrie M., the breeder behind Mcginnis Guardian Dogs located in Clifton, IL. At McGinnis Guardian Dogs, our Anatolian Shepherd Dog, Anatolian Pyrenees and Working dog Cross puppies are raised on our family farm in Illinois surrounded by livestock, open land, and everyday family life. Rooted in faith, loyalty, and protection, we are passionate about raising confident guardians with strong instincts, sound temperaments, and hearts devoted to both flock and family. Each puppy is loved, socialized, and given a purpose from day one.

Why did you start breeding?
Our passion for the Anatolian Shepherd Dog started through farm life and the need for dependable livestock protection. After seeing their intelligence, loyalty, and natural guardian instincts, we fell in love with the breed and committed to raising well rounded dogs that can protect both livestock and family while thriving as loyal companions.What makes your program special?
Our puppies are raised on a working farm with daily exposure to livestock, children, and real farm environments. We focus on temperament, instinct, structure, and socialization—not just appearance. Every puppy is raised with purpose, hands-on care, and a commitment to faith, loyalty, and protection.What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our Anatolian Shepherd Dog puppies include brindle, biscuit and white, and fawn. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.Where do your breeding dogs live?

Getting a puppy from Carrie
Carrie has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.
Carrie partners with buyers to find the best match as the puppies develop and their personalities take shape. Typically, matches are finalized when the puppies reach about 6 weeks old.

“Your guardian puppy includes age-appropriate vaccinations, routine deworming, a wellness exam, health records, early socialization, and exposure to livestock and family life on our working farm. A $200 deposit reserves your puppy and secures your place in pick order. Deposits are applied toward the total purchase price and are non-refundable unless McGinnis Guardian Dogs can’t provide puppy.”

This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase. Litter update on 02 Sept •…Happy six-week update! 🐾💚 Today was weigh-in and deworming day. Everyone received their scheduled wormer, and all 10 puppies are gaining weight and doing wonderfully! Capone – Loyal Guardian with a Big Personality Capone is the main sire of our program at McGinnis Guardian Dogs and a powerful working Anatolian Shepherd Dog with excellent guardian instincts. He spends his days patrolling our farm and watching over goats, poultry, and horses. Capone is naturally alert, territorial, and highly aware of his surroundings. His size, confidence, and deep bark make him a strong deterrent to predators. While Capone takes his guardian role seriously, he is also incredibly affectionate with his family. Around the people he trusts, he is a lovable goofball who enjoys attention and being close to his owners. This balance of strong protection and loyalty to family is exactly what we value in our breeding program. Capone consistently passes on: • Strong livestock guardian instincts • Confidence and independence • Large, powerful build • Loyalty and devotion to family His puppies are expected to make excellent livestock guardians as well as devoted family protectors.

About Ruby
Ruby – Proven Livestock Guardian Female Ruby is a powerful and highly intelligent Anatolian Shepherd female raised on our working farm at McGinnis Guardian Dogs. She is naturally protective, extremely loyal, and takes her guardian role seriously. Ruby lives full-time with livestock including goats, poultry, and horses and has excellent instincts for predator awareness and property protection. She is confident and dominant with other dogs, which is typical of strong guardian females, but she is deeply bonded to her people and very attentive to her environment. Ruby has a strong maternal temperament and is currently expecting her first litter. Her puppies are expected to inherit: • Strong guardian instincts • Confidence and independence • Loyalty to family and livestock • Large, powerful build typical of the breed Ruby represents the traditional Anatolian guardian—calm, watchful, and fearless when needed.
