I'm Kristen B., the breeder behind Melody Lane Brussels Griffons located in Arizona. My passion is to breed quality Brussels Griffon pups and connect them with loving forever homes. I keep a variety of factors in mind when choosing dogs to breed so that puppies can inherit the best of both parents.
I do not give breeding rights on my dogs as I consider this my intellectual property. My prices currently range from $2500-$4500, depending upon color, coat and quality.
I am confident that my puppies will enrich your life just as much as my dogs have touched mine - they are happy, intelligent, and cute as can be!
Q. & A. with Kristen
Why did you start breeding?
I have owned and bred Brussels Griffons since 1991. I have seen many fads come and go. The current fad for this beautiful, little toy breed is to breed them much larger than the breed standard. The AKC breed standard is 8-10 pounds with the exceptional dog allowed to be up to 12 pounds.
Many in the ring and out in the public are 14-20 pounds!
My dogs are bred as close to the standard as possible
What makes your program special?
First, I ONLY breed purebred, AKC Brussels Griffons. Any dogs not AKC are likely not purebred or were bought without breeding rights. Brussels Griffons should NEVER have white on them. ALL of my breeding stock weighs no more than 12 pounds at maturity, and most weigh 8-10 pounds.
Is there any better investment than that of one on a living being that will be a companion and a best friend for many years to come?
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include red, black and tan, and belge. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.

Kristen is a wonderful and professional person who helped me achieve my greatest birthday wish! Worf is absolutely perfect and exactly who I was looking for (and I looked for a long time). From the moment Baby Bear Worf and I met, we loved each other and became best buds. Kristen made the whole process go so smoothly, and based on how loving, healthy, and smart/trainable Worf is (he already knows sit, leave it, fetch, lay down, and of course his name), it’s clear she knows what she is doing and takes exceptional care of her dogs and puppies. Kristen is the BEST! If you’re looking for a happy, healthy, and well adjusted Brussels Griffon, Kristen is the person to contact. Thank you, Kristen!!! Words cannot adequately express how grateful I am.

Thank you again Kristen for making our dream come true! You have been such an amazing breeder and communicator since the beginning! I am so glad we reached out to you. Thank you for everything especially getting him used to the carrier before we got him. That made our flight home so much more relaxing! Boluo has been a fun, loving and energetic puppy and we absolutely love him!(I think he loves us too! :P) He is adjusting well to the new home and even made a few new friends in the neighborhood already! I highly recommend Kristen if you want a loving BG furry friend to join your family.

Kristen was exactly what I knew she would be from our very first communication; a professional breeder with extremely high expectations of herself in delivering a happy and healthy puppy. Because Kristen loves what she is doing and because she has high ethics and fantastic customer service skills, I got the puppy I wanted, and Kristen had me involved every step of the way. It is clear that Kristen loves animals and her vocation. She was incredible and Brick is incredible too!
