I'm Rhonda C., the breeder behind Mermaids Lair Doodles located in Longs, SC. I've worked with several rescues. I helped over 200 puppies a year and then started my own 501c3 kitten rescue, with over 4,000 kittens in 8 years. I was on the MatSu Borough Animal Care and Control Board and I am certified for disaster sheltering of animals. I have volunteered with the Iditarod, volunteered at a low-cost spay-neuter clinic for 8 years, and was even mentioned in 2 children’s books because of my rescue experience. My adult dogs at their highest weight are 23 pounds, many of the puppies that I have placed her in the mid teens as far as their weight. They are all vet checked before they go home and the parents are DNA test tested through embark.

Why did you start breeding?
After many years of rescue, I fell in love with a breed and knew that I wanted to establish my own program. I love my Goldendoodles and I am grateful to be able to raise and prepare my pups for their loving forever homes. My life revolves around my dogs and meeting their needs both socially and medically. I strive to bring you the healthiest, most well-rounded puppies.
What makes your program special?
I run a small, in-home breeding program where I prioritize giving each dog and puppy the best care that I can. I cherish all of my animals and enjoy sharing the love of this wonderful breed with other individuals and families! I have high expectations for my puppies and make sure to place each one in an enriching and loving home that will match their temperament and personality. I love what I do and truly want the very best for our puppies and their forever families.
What are the different breed sizes in your program?
Our puppies include petite and miniature sizes. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include cream, apricot, black, phantom, merle, and parti. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.

Price

Puppy prices include a $500 non-refundable deposit and between $2,000 - $2,300 final payment, before taxes & fees.
