I'm Heather R., the breeder behind Merrigang Australian Terriers located in Fletcher, NC. I breed only when I want a puppy for myself or another breeder. My puppies are bred for conformation, performance, and or pets. I strive to make sure every owner has the ability to get the very best out of their puppy. Sometimes the most ordinary things can be made extraordinary simply by doing them with an Australian Terrior.
Q. & A. with Heather
Why did you start breeding?
I downsized from Dobermans ( rescue ) to Australian Terriers. My contract stated that I would finish my bitches championship and breed her to the sire of the breeder's choice. I would then give her a puppy and she would sign off on the co-ownership
What makes your program special?
I only breed when I need a puppy, so I take careful consideration of what I look for in a sire. I carefully match pedigrees and health clearances and temperament.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.
