I'm Taylor R., the breeder behind Mesquite Kennels located in Abilene, TX. Our mission is to raise healthy, happy, adorable Goldendoodle and Poodle puppies and connect loving families with their new best friend! Raising puppies has been so much fun, although we take our role in raising them seriously. Breeding has helped us share the joy of our dogs with other families.

  • Why did you start breeding?

    I (Taylor) grew up breeding Golden Retrievers. I absolutely love the breed and have a lot of good memories of growing up breeding. We fell in love with Poodles and Goldendoodles over the years and I've always wanted my kids to have the same experiences I had growing up. We also love being a part of sharing quality Goldendoodles and Poodles with others!

  • What makes your program special?

    We are a family with allergies and have found hypoallergenic dogs allow us to have our furry family members without all the allergy related sickness. We love to offer the same for others! We've invested in quality dogs to better the breed, and have a high value on early training and preparation of our puppies to help the transition to their forever homes go as well as possible!

  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

    Our Poodle puppies are standard size. Goldendoodle puppies include medium and standard sizes. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our Poodle puppies are red. Goldendoodle puppies are red. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Getting a puppy from Taylor

Taylor has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.

After buyers complete the application and screening process, Taylor partners with them to find the best puppy match.

Price

Puppy prices include a $250 deposit and between $750 - $1,750 final payment, before taxes & fees.
Pay over time with Klarna.

“The price includes a vet check, first round of vaccines, and a one-year health guarantee. The deposit is refundable if we find a replacement buyer before the scheduled pick-up date. If it takes longer to find the puppy a new home, we use that deposit to continue to care for the puppy.”

Taylor may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase.
