I'm Michael W., the breeder behind Michael Wagner's Border Terriers and Dalmatians located in Bigfork, MT. I have excellent stud dogs which I supply to other responsible breeders to produce healthy, happy, and beautiful Border Terrier and Dalmatian puppies! My stud dogs are an excellent representation of the breed standards. I am dedicated to continuing my phenomenal bloodlines in an effort to provide other families with quality dogs!

  • Why did you start breeding?

    I want to give others the opportunity to have litters from my amazing stud dogs. They are excellent representations of the breed, and I am proud to be continuing my line of top-quality Border Terrier and Dalmatians. It's an amazing feeling knowing that I made a positive contribution to these dogs and the families who love them!
  • What makes your program special?

    I am very conscious about who I offer my stud services to and always ensure that each pairing will produce healthy puppies with great personalities, health, and structure. All of the dogs in my stud program are well-trained and socialized. Their wonderful temperaments are sure to produce amazing, well-rounded puppies!
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home and guardian homes.

Puppy prices include between $1,500 - $2,500 final payment, before taxes & fees.

  • Hip Dysplasia

    Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.

  • Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)

    Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.

  • Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)

    Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.

  • Cardiac Evaluation (registered with OFA)

    Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.

  • Patellar Luxation

    Knee testing reduces the chance of passing down Patellar Luxation, which results in the kneecap becoming displaced or dislocated and can cause mild to severe joint pain.

  • Brucellosis

    A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.

  • Spongiform Leukoencephalomyelopathy (SLEM)

    Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
