Our dogs are raised as part of daily family life with structure, socialization, and meaningful enrichment from an early age. We aim to place puppies in homes where they can thrive as companions, sport prospects, and active partners. Emme is our foundation female and represents the type, temperament, and drive we value in this wonderful breed.

Getting a puppy from Ben & Bruce
Ben & Bruce has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.
Ben & Bruce partners with buyers to find the best match as the puppies develop and their personalities take shape. Typically, matches are finalized when the puppies reach about 8 weeks old.
“We take great care in placing each puppy with the right family. Families are placed on our list in order of fit, based on our conversations and your questionnaire. Once the puppies are old enough for us to assess their temperaments and personalities, we choose which puppy goes to which family, working through the list in order.”

“Includes AKC registration, microchip, vet records, a blanket with mom's scent, and a puppy starter kit. Companion homes and approved breeding homes are both welcome. We accept a deposit only after we receive your completed questionnaire and confirm a spot. The deposit holds your spot in the litter and is applied to the puppy price.”

About Emme
Emme is our foundation female: energetic, affectionate, and curious. She loves travel, hiking, rivers, snow, and chasing her favorite ball, and she is just as happy relaxing close to her family. Raised with structure, socialization, and plenty of enrichment, she is adaptable, devoted, playful, and an enthusiastic snuggler.

Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)
Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.
Patellar Luxation
Knee testing reduces the chance of passing down Patellar Luxation, which results in the kneecap becoming displaced or dislocated and can cause mild to severe joint pain.
Vet Wellness Exam
A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.
PRA, Rod-Cone Degeneration (PRA-prcd)
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
