I'm Mike M., the breeder behind Mike Maas' working dogs located in Orlando, FL. My dogs are raised in a home environment with my family. The highest objective is to produce quality candidates for working roles in law enforcement and dog sports. To date, dogs I have produced are certified law enforcement K9's, family protection dogs, and competitive sport dogs.
Q. & A. with Mike
Why did you start breeding?
I began breeding after seeing a strong need for better quality working dogs in America. The demand for quality genetics has never been higher, while breeding practices have not been able to keep up.
What makes your program special?
While I breed for working roles, I occasionally have puppies available that may be better suited with a family or a dog sport role. These puppies still exhibit the exceptional stability my working candidates have, though they may not have law enforcement in their future. These puppies can make for exceptional active companions and I enjoy offering people the opportunity to own something special.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include red sable, red, fawn sable, and fawn. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.
