I'm Sharon M., the breeder behind Minerd Ranch located in Wittmann, AZ. I have been raising German Shepherds for 40 years. We have selected our breeding dogs for their Loyal temperament and looks, Health, very intelligent. Pups come Potty trained, Crate trained, Well socialized. First set of vaccines, de worming done.   • Why did you start breeding?

    40 + years ago, I met a good dog breeder . Purchased my first pair of breeding dogs 1982.
  • What makes your program special?

    We spend a lot of time with the pups and adult dogs. Have lots of room for them to run and play. They get to play as a pack. My dogs have very nice balanced temperaments. We have lots of referrals.
  • What are the different breed coat types in your program?

    Our puppies include long and plush coat varieties. Coat types may vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our puppies are black and red. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home and a kennel on my property.

Puppy prices include a $500 refundable deposit and between $2,000 - $3,000 final payment, before taxes & fees.

  • Hip Dysplasia (rDVM, not registered), Hip Dysplasia

    Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.

  • Elbow Dysplasia (rDVM, not registered), Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)

    Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.

  • Cardiac Evaluation (rDVM, not registered with OFA)

    Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.

  • Temperament Test

    A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.

  • DNA Disease Panel, Degenerative Myelopathy (DM; SOD1A)

    Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
