I'm Chris O., the breeder behind Minnesota Weimaraners located in Sauk Centre, MN. We are dedicated to raising exceptional puppies in a loving and nurturing home. Our family has years of Weimaraner experience. We prioritize health, temperament, and socialization. Parents and Grandparents have AKC award titles in show and competition and are professional hunters.

Why did you start breeding?
I feel in love with the breed after knowing nothing about them. Not even how to spell the name! Wanted to make other people fall in love as much as we did and better our lineage.What makes your program special?
Our puppies receive top-notch care from birth to adoption. This includes frequent weight-checks, vet visits, and family bonding. They birth and live right inside our home for close contact and family oriented care. We provide ongoing support and guidance for all puppy owners.What are the different breed coat types in your program?
Our puppies have smooth coats. Coat types may vary depending on the parent dogs.What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies are silver gray. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.Where do your breeding dogs live?

Getting a puppy from Chris
Chris has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.
Together, you’ll choose the puppy that’s right for you, stay in touch with regular updates, and plan how to bring your new puppy home.
Price
“The price includes AKC registration, tail docking and dew claw removal, as well as certified vet health certification and first set of immunizations and deworming. Deposit can be any amount but must be a minimum of $200 and goes towards the total amount of $1900. Male and female are both the same price.”

Parent health testing
Excellent level
Minnesota Weimaraners reports to performing the health tests below on their breeding dogs. Ask your breeder about the tests performed on the parents of your litter. Learn more about health testing for Weimaraners.
Hip Dysplasia (rDVM, not registered), Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Elbow Dysplasia (rDVM, not registered)
Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.
Eye Examination (rDVM, not registered with OFA), Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)
Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.
Cardiac Evaluation (rDVM, not registered with OFA)
Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.
Thyroid (Autoimmune Thyroiditis, registered with OFA), Vet Wellness Exam
A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.
DNA Disease Panel, Spinal Dysraphism (SD), Hyperuricosuria (HUU), Hypomyelination, Weimaraner Type
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
