I'm Neal M., the breeder behind Mission K9 located in Elijay, GA. My journey began in 1995 alongside my family where I developed a passion for working dogs; learning the utilitarian nature of gun dogs, and later protection work. Working dogs is where I thrive, and I bring that experience, knowledge, and passion into every dog I train and every litter I produce.

Why did you start breeding?
I started with my parents, who bred Labrador Retrievers for all types of work, including plantation bird dogs. Growing up around working dogs taught me the importance of sound temperament, structure, drive, and purpose. That foundation eventually led me into breeding German Shepherds, with a focus on producing capable, balanced dogs that can excel in work and family life.What makes your program special?
I understand the activity level and needs of every home. My goal is to match the right dog to the right person, whether you’re looking for a sport, family, or performance dog. I focus on temperament, drive, and compatibility to create the right match for both dog and owner.What are the different breed coat types in your program?

Pricing reflects the intentional breeding that goes into producing well rounded dogs suited for you. . Deposits include registration, food, a blanket, and other goodies. Your deposit reserves your puppy and shows your commitment to providing a great home.”

Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)
Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.
Temperament Test, Vet Wellness Exam
A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.
Degenerative Myelopathy (DM; SOD1A)
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
