Our German Shepherds are excellent for families —good with children, adaptable to any environment, have super character, and of course sound temperament.

    As a part of our process, we begin by assessing each client’s preferences and needs to make sure that you have your ideal German Shepherd companion. We offer foundation trained, service dogs, and family protection.

  • What are the different breed coat types in your program?

    Our puppies include long and stock coat varieties. Coat types may vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our puppies are black and red. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Getting a puppy from Ron

Ron has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.

Together, you’ll choose the puppy that’s right for you, stay in touch with regular updates, and plan how to bring your new puppy home.

Puppy prices include a $500 non-refundable deposit and between $2,300 - $3,100 final payment, before taxes & fees.

Contract & health guarantee

Ron may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase.   • Hip Dysplasia

    Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.

  • Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)

    Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.

  • Temperament Test

    A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.

  • DNA Disease Panel, Degenerative Myelopathy (DM; SOD1A)

    Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).

    We recently adopted our new pup, Johnny from Ron with misty hills German shepherds, he was wonderful to work with from start to finish. He answered all of our questions and even took the time to call us for over an hour. He breeds exceptional dogs. Johnny is a loving dog with a very chill demeanor. It is obvious that he was loved so much with his original family. He is fitting in with our family very well. We have two little boys who just adore him, a cat and another dog. We have had no issues. Ron does a wonderful job with introducing the dogs to real life prior to adoption. Ron even drove 8 hours to meet us. The entire experience from start to finish was wonderful, I would highly recommend misty hills!

From my first phone call with Ron it was clear that he cares deeply for his dogs and makes sure that they're going to great homes.
