Melissa has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.
Melissa partners with buyers to find the best match as the puppies develop and their personalities take shape. Typically, matches are finalized when the puppies reach about 7 weeks old.
“Pairing puppies typically takes place around week 7. Sometimes earlier depending on each individual puppy. This is a working line German Shepherd, which means their energy level is higher. They will need proper exercise, training, and mental stimulation. The way I place puppies is by the need of the puppy and by what the owner is looking for. Puppies with higher drives will go to working homes or very active homes. ”

“Price differs between litters. Price depends on sire and dam and also for cost of raising pups. It is non-refundable unless potential owner becomes sick, injured, or death, or financial hardship.”
Melissa may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase. If Melissa offers a contract or guarantee, the details will be personalized by them. If you have any questions or want to know more, don't hesitate to reach out to Melissa directly.
When you pay and communicate on Good Dog, you’re covered by Payment Protection.
You can drive or fly to pick up your puppy from Melissa.

About Anička
Anička is a stunning dark sable female. She comes from a long line of top working dogs including Jaro Ja-He. She comes is a Czech import that will be coming to California in September of 2026. She will be bred in Czech for a litter due in late 2026 or early 2027. This will be an import litter. We are currently working on finding the right stud for her pairing. She will be titled with ZVV1 & have a BH-VT. We will begin IGP1 training once she arrives. She has nice firm grips, no handler aggression, is neutral with other dogs & animals. She is good with unfamiliar people & with kids. While doing protection she if focused on the helper and not the sleeve. She has natural aggression (protection), during protection training. She has a very nice off switch & can settle with ease. Her preliminary health testing is all good! We will update health testing once she gets the officials! Spine looks good, hips and elbows look good and her teeth look good as well! We are super excited to bring this girl to the states!! Stay tuned for updates!!

About Cali
ABOUT CALISTA (Cali) OFA Hips: Excellent OFA elbows: Normal DNA: Tested DM: Carrier (Not Affected) Cali is the granddaughter of the famous and late Extreme Orex Aykmar. Cali is an imposing female, with a true heart for work. She has high prey drive, very firm and fast grips, and is a versatile female. She can switch from civil to sport with ease. She has high toy drive and absolutely loves to use her nose. She will work whenever and wherever. She works well with other handlers and shows no aggression towards other dogs and animals. She learns quickly and is eager to please her handler. She is very quick and keeps a nice working weight of 74 pounds. She is a larger working female. Her conformation is proper and she is a stock coat sable female. She has used a bite suit and for her first time showed no fear on the bite suit or sleeve. Cali is a force to be reckoned with. She will make a great female for MK-K9. Her pictures are of her as a puppy up until the last picture I uploaded with the toy in her mouth and a doggy backpack on (taken April 1st 2026 on her 4th birthday). This shows her growth and coat changes.
Great health testing
Excellent level
MK-K9 L.L.C. reports to performing the health tests below on their breeding dogs. Ask your breeder about the tests performed on the parents of your litter. Learn more about health testing for German Shepherds.
Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)
Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.
Eye Examination (rDVM, not registered with OFA)
Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.
Cardiac Evaluation (rDVM, not registered with OFA)
Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.
Brucellosis, Temperament Test
A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.
Degenerative Myelopathy (DM; SOD1A)
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
Health testing is one key piece of responsible breeding and is performed on breeding dogs to prevent the presence of heritable conditions in their puppies.
