I'm Paul & Patti M., the breeder behind Mo Cuishle's Wheatens located in West Bloomfield, MI. My husband, who is from Ireland, has a long history with ISCWTs. With his strong background in the Irish, we are dedicating our lives to promoting and strengthening the Irish line. We truly believe there is a significant difference, not only in coats, but in temperaments and thought processes.

Why did you start breeding?
After fostering and adopting many rescues of American wheatens and many, many trips to Ireland to increase Patti's knowledge, courtesy of Deborah Evans-Berry, they decided that this historical breed could not disappear. As luck would have it, they met another like minded breeder in Michigan who was generous in sharing her knowledge and Patti and Paul will be forever grateful. They have now ventured out on their own, using much of the foundation that was originally set for them. With strong support from their much respected breeder in Ireland, they are presenting their final litter of Irish Soft Coat Wheaten Terriers for all to love and cherish as they doWhat makes your program special?

Getting a puppy from Paul & Patti
Paul & Patti has been certified by Good Dog's screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you're ready to reach out, feel free to ask any questions about the breed, their program, or specific puppies.
After buyers complete the application and screening process, Paul & Patti partners with them to find the best puppy match.
"Our wheatens are all wonderful pet quality and are comfortable in a single person home or family setting. They love children! They are not big barkers unless it is to warn you if someone is approaching. We have never had a dog that barks just to bark. Orlaith our momma dog, will give us one short bark only when she wants to come back inside. We have never had a pup returned. Wheatens are just fur babies it's full of love and hijinks! They love and should be walked or kept active on a regular basis. "

"We do not charge extra, like many breeders do for males or females. Our puppy prices include fees, vaccines, vet visit and newly required state taxes."

Litter update on 12 Feb •…There eyes are open and are on the move! Now that they have found their legs, they don't even wait for Orlaith to lay down. They go up on their hind legs and chow down. I feel like I'm watching the wheaten version of Golden Corral Buffet!

About Orlaith
Orlaith is a typical Irish wheaten. Everything on her terms. She is a real people person and has a beautiful and silky Irish coats, but enjoys rolling in mud and snow. She loves a hot mess! She is a stunning Irish wheaten and she knows it! As with all our other Irish wheatens, Orlaith was born and bred in County Limerick, Ireland. My husband was born there and showed wheatens there. We have made it our mission to preserve one of Ireland's Heritage breeds.

Tréan is an exuberant, young man, that only want love and affection, of which in our house, he gets quite a bit! Tréan, as with our other wheatens, was born on The Emerald Isle. He has the beautiful Irish Coat, along with the brains to boot. A truly loving guy!

Eilis is a female Soft Coated Wheaten Terrier. Carefully selected as a great representative of her breed, Paul & Patti decided to make her part of their program. Paul & Patti has passed Good Dog’s screening process, which involved a review of their breeding practices, environment, and the mental and physical health of their dogs.

Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.

Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.
