Meet the breeder

I'm James T., the breeder behind Moe's Shorty Jacks located in Oak Grove, LA. My dogs are bred for health and temperament while also focusing on intelligence. I am dedicated to providing families with quality pups for family pets, hunting buddies, or just a little loyal companion to go everywhere you go. I am confident my dogs will make great companions for years to come!

Q. & A. with James

  • Why did you start breeding?

I fell in love with these little dogs after getting my first one. Four months later, I added the second and had my first pair of Shorty Jacks. These 2 little dogs went everywhere I went, and I really enjoyed raising them; they were great companions. I just wanted to see other people get just excited about these little dogs as I was. I now have 8 and have met some really great people along the way.
  • What makes your program special?

I like that all of my Shorty Jacks are different. Different coat types and colors. Lots of options that get me really excited about new litters. I hope you choose Moe's Shorty Jacks to help you find your dream dog!
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

American Hunt Terrier puppies include black and tan, red, lilac, chocolate, blue, black and red, and black. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.
