Q. & A. with connie
Why did you start breeding?
I got into breeding because I wanted a puppy out of my sweet Minion. I bought Yang...my stud to be the papa...and what a good, perfect, proper, puppy he is! He produces beautiful, intelligent and kind pups. After my first litter I was hooked.
What makes your program special?
I am a concierge breeder, meaning, I dont breed all of the time. These are my personal family.
I breed because once you have had a Jack Russell, and Lose one...all you want is another one. I always say we have a JRT shaped hole in our hearts.
It brings me great joy and satisfaction to bring a new partnership/relationship into someone's life who has lost his special family member.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include white, white and tan, black and white, and tri-colored. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.

Yang, dad
Parson Russell Terrier
About Yang
Yang is the Perfect, Proper, Pup! Yang has a disposition that is heads and tails above the rest! Extremely sweet, attentive, obedient and empathetic. He loves going for runs, hunting gophers with his girls, snuggling on your lap, and playing with his girls.
Yang throws amazing pups! Be prepared for a lot of leg, so if you run or ride horses or generally very active, his babies can keep up for the long haul.
He is very well adapted to other dogs, and seems to pass that trait along to his babies.
His only drawback is that he does not do well with cats, although we were able to train him to leave the cats alone, which is a testament to his desire to be obedient over a very hard driving prey instinct.

We are so thrilled with our puppy (Ryder) from Connie! He is such a great addition to our home, and our 5 year old wire fox terrier loves his new brother. Ryder took to his new playpen, his crate, and his travel backpack so quickly. Nothing bothers him. He travelled so well on 2 flights when I picked him up at 8 weeks. He is excited to see all of our friends, and turns heads everywhere we go. He is snuggly, and feisty, and full of excitement. Everything about the exchange was awesome. Thank you for delivering him to my motel, too. Connie is responsive and helpful, and I can’t imagine a better Parsons Russel Terrier breeder!

This review took a little while. Life is already busy but it got extremely busy when Wayne arrives in our life. It's so easy to fall in love with Wayne, from day 1 he is already part of our family. We are truly grateful with Connie for helping us all the way. She is communicative, reliable and trustworthy. Which are the main things we are looking for from a breeder.

Connie was great! She met me at the airport with my new puppy. "Snapper" is happy in her new home. I got her a new bed and toys. She was a big hit with the kids and grandkids. I took her to the vet and had her micro-chipped. She is a beautiful dog who is loved by the whole family.

We had a great experience with Connie and love our new puppy, Aspen. Connie was easy to work with and just terrific (lots of photos, even drove to meet me in Bozeman) but is above all someone who truly and clearly loves and cares for her dogs and puppies. They’re raised in her home and cared for as if they’re part of the family , which was evident in all the videos and photos and from how well acclimated and healthy Aspen was when we got her. We had several false starts over the past year with various breeders who really turned out to be “factories” with dozens of pups a year, and Connie and her husband couldn’t be farther from this. We’re so glad to have found Connie and Aspen - Thank you!!

Lola, our Parson Russell Terrier, has been a blessing since losing our West Highland White Terrier of almost 16 years. She is extremely active, intelligent and a quick learner who craves attention.
Our experience with Montana Jack's has been a pleasure. After owning terriers for over 40 years we would place Montana Jack's and Connie at the top of list of breeders we have dealt with. Its seldom that you encounter such a responsible breeder. Her policy of only breeding her dogs every other year should be adopted by others. This would go a long way to end the "puppy mill" mentality that is encountered all too often.
We would enthusiastically recommend Montana Jack's and Connie for anyone looking for intelligent, active, quality terriers.
Health testing is one key piece of responsible breeding and is performed on breeding dogs to prevent the presence of heritable conditions in their puppies.
