I'm Annamarie P., the breeder behind Morning Star Samoyeds located in Bear Creek, MT. Our Samoyeds are beautiful, intelligent, and highly social animals who thrive on companionship. While energetic, they are kind and gentle, making them wonderful with children of all ages. We stand by the puppies we produce with a 2 year genetic health guarantee and lifelong breeder support.
Q. & A. with Annamarie
Why did you start breeding?
My father raised Brittanys when I was growing up; I was immersed in the world of puppy-rearing from a young age. Thanks to a wonderful breeder and mentor, I was soon swept up in the world of conformation and field dog trials. We spent some years raising unregistered Border Collies and Standard Poodles, before falling head over heels for a Samoyed we met and we’ve never looked back.
What makes your program special?
We have goals of raising puppies who are not only stunning to look at, but are also an improvement to their breed, intelligent and structurally sound, who love their families wholeheartedly.
Our dogs are health-tested, beloved members of our family, who we are proud to share with you.
Our puppies are raised in-home, receive Puppy Culture rearing methods, socialization, and early obedience.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include white and biscuit and white. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home and a kennel on my property.

About Bagheera
Bagheera is loving and affectionate, preferring to spend all her time “nannying” the children who love her to pieces. She has a sharp prey drive and often proudly brings in her hunting trophies from the backyard. She also enjoys having fun in AKC FASTCAT events.

Elbow Dysplasia (Preliminary)
Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.
Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)
Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.
Cardiac Evaluation (registered with OFA)
Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.
DNA Disease Panel
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
