I'm Charles H., the breeder behind Mountain Dog Kennel located in Nixa, MO. We're in-home breeders. We love our dogs and what we do and we strive to make each puppy a great contribution to its forever home. We devote our time, energy, and efforts to each litter to ensure our puppies are properly socialized from the moment they are born and prepared to excel in their forever homes. By creating an environment of health and harmony for young puppies, we believe we are able to give each little pup the very best chance to reach its potential, express its best character, and bring forth its greatest gifts in the relationship with itself and to its family.
Q. & A. with Charles
Why did you start breeding?
We have a passionate love for dogs. We run a dog boarding facility where guest dogs get to experience our farm through exploration and play. We have loved the experience we've gained through this and have decided to expand our horizons by breeding our beloved Bernese Mountain Dogs. Our goal is to not only produce beautiful puppies but to help promote responsible breeding in order to ensure that the Bernese Mountain dog will continue to thrive for generations to come.
What makes your program special?
As a boarding facility, we have the unique opportunity and honor to get to know dogs of all kinds. We have loved spending time with dogs and giving their families peace of mind when they stay with us. We wanted to extend that by breeding high-quality puppies who are well socialized, healthy, and thoroughly loved. We are looking forward to sharing our passion and bringing the best puppy we can to your family!

About Charlie
Charlie is a female Bernese Mountain Dog. Carefully selected as a great representative of her breed, Charles decided to make her part of their program. Charles has passed Good Dog’s screening process, which involved a review of their breeding practices, environment, and the mental and physical health of their dogs.
Health testing is one key piece of responsible breeding and is performed on breeding dogs to prevent the presence of heritable conditions in their puppies.
