I'm Andrea M., the breeder behind Mountain High Kennels located in Frazeysburg, OH. Raising puppies is a passion, it's a 24/7 dedication to our dogs that we take pride in. Where no expense is spared when it comes to our dogs and puppies. Standing behind every puppy we produce. When you take home our puppies, you become family. Remember, I loved them first.

  • Why did you start breeding?

    There is just not enough alloted space to explain how I became a breeder on here but I am happy to share my story with families. Turning my love into a passion where I can share such love with others is a feeling that can't be described.

  • What makes your program special?

    I have sacrificed a "normal" life to dedicate my time, love, and attention to my dogs and raising puppies. Offering lifetime breeder support for your family. My babies are raised in my home, with cats, dogs, kids, and poultry on our farm. A well bred, stable minded, lifetime companion from a reputable breeder where puppies are raised with love among children and other pets is simply indispensable.

  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

    Our Pomsky puppies include toy and mini sizes. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our Pomsky puppies include wolf sable, gray and white, blue, black and white, chocolate, and merle. Toy Shetland Sheepdog puppies include black & tan, sable & white, sable, black & white, and blue merle. Shetland Sheepdog puppies include white blue merle, white black and tan, white and sable merle, sable merle and white, black and white, sable and white, blue merle white and tan, blue merle and white, and black white and tan. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home and a kennel on my property.

Getting a puppy from Andrea

Andrea has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.

After buyers complete the application and screening process, Andrea partners with them to find the best puppy match.

“We do not tell you what puppy you have to adopt here at Mountain High Kennels. If your application is approved and you have a particular puppy you want to reserve, that will be the puppy reserved for your family. If we strongly feel the puppy you have chosen is not a good energy match for your family/home at the time they are released, we will discuss options to transfer for another litter/puppy or create a plan at that time. We leave this decision up to the new owner/family. ”

Price

Puppy prices include a $500 non-refundable deposit and between $1,300 - $3,000 final payment, before taxes & fees.

“Prices generally start at $1800 and go up for our pomskies. Our Shelties start at $2500 and go up. We do offer older puppies/adult retired dogs from time to time. Deposits are $500. This deposit is not refundable unless our vet finds a health concern prior to the puppy leaving. If you cancel, your deposit is transferable but not refundable.”

Contract & health guarantee

Andrea may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase.   • Multiple Drug Sensitivity (MDR1), Congenital Methemoglobinemia, Pomeranian Type, Hereditary Vitamin D-Resistant Rickets (HVDRR), GM1 Gangliosidosis, Alaskan Husky Type, Degenerative Myelopathy (DM; SOD1A), Day Blindness, Achromatopsia, Collie Eye Anomaly (CEA)

    Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).

    My experience with Mountain High Kennels went perfectly, Andrea the breeder was wonderful and was very sweet in answering all my questions about my puppy, everything moved along smoothly and I now have the most precious little girl, she’s so full of energy and playfulness and curiosity about her new world, could not have asked for a smoother transition, Andrea sent some food, toys, treats and a blanket with the mama dogs scent, my puppy is wonderful in her crate and we are in the throes of potty training, also the delivery service Furry Trails was very professional and timely, bringing my baby on a 7 hour journey, safely to me, thank you so much for bringing joy and sleepless nights (lol) to my life

    Andrea is an awesome breeder. She clearly knows how to prepare a puppy for the transition to a new family. She and her family love them! The puppies become part of her family and the barnyard of animals she raises. Why does this matter? Your pup comes to you with personality — socialized to play with you, and not afraid of adults, kids, or other animals. Our Taffy is 11 weeks old and already sits, stays, lays down, and fetches anything. She’ll fetch for as long as you’ll throw. Oh my goodness, is she fast! Taffy loves to run. She travels well and loves everyone she meets — her tail goes crazy with every new friend. Taffy came to us nearly housebroken at 8 weeks old, and she’s healthy. Our vet was very pleased with the care she’d received. Everything Andrea promises, she delivers.
