I'm Andrea M., the breeder behind Mountain High Kennels located in Frazeysburg, OH. Raising puppies is a passion, it's a 24/7 dedication to our dogs that we take pride in. Where no expense is spared when it comes to our dogs and puppies. Standing behind every puppy we produce. When you take home our puppies, you become family. Remember, I loved them first.

  • Why did you start breeding?

    There is just not enough alloted space to explain how I became a breeder on here but I am happy to share my story with families. Very different breeds that most won't understand how I ended up with, rather you're an owner of the Rottweiler, Sheltie, or Pomsky.. you will understand. Turning my love into a passion where I can share such love with others is a feeling that can't be described.

  • What makes your program special?

    I have sacrificed a "normal" life to dedicate my time, love and attention to my dogs and raising puppies. Offering lifetime breeder support for your family. My babies are raised in my home, with cats, dogs, kids, and poultry on our farm. A well bred, stable minded, lifetime companion from a reputable breeder where puppies are raised with love among children and other pets is simply indispensable.

  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

    Pomsky puppies include toy and mini sizes. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our Toy Shetland Sheepdog puppies include black & tan, sable & white, sable, black & white, and blue merle. Pomsky puppies include wolf sable, gray and white, blue, black and white, chocolate, and merle. Rottweiler puppies include black and rust and black and mahogany. Shetland Sheepdog puppies include white blue merle, white black and tan, white and sable merle, sable merle and white, black and white, sable and white, blue merle white and tan, blue merle and white, and black white and tan. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home and a kennel on my property.

Getting a puppy from Andrea

Andrea has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready, reach out to ask about the puppies or anything else on your mind. You’ll get to know each other through messaging, phone, or video and pay securely, all on Good Dog.

After buyers complete the application and screening process, Andrea partners with them to find the best puppy match.

“We do not tell you what puppy you have to adopt here at Mountain High Kennels. If your application is approved and you have a particular puppy you want to reserve, that will be the puppy reserved for your family. If we strongly feel the puppy you have chosen is not a good energy match for your family/home at the time they are released, we will discuss options to transfer for another litter/puppy or create a plan at that time. We leave this decision up to the new owner/family. ”

Price

Puppy prices include a $500 non-refundable deposit and between $1,300 - $3,000 final payment, before taxes & fees.

“Because of the different breeds we raise, our prices will vary. Shelties start at $2000 and go up. Rottweiler puppies start at $2800 and up. Pomsky puppies start at $1800 and go up. Deposits are $500. This deposit is not refundable unless our vet finds a health concern prior to the puppy leaving. If you cancel, your deposit is transferable but not refundable.”

Contract & health guarantee

Andrea may provide a written contract or health guarantee when you purchase a puppy. This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase.   • Multiple Drug Sensitivity (MDR1), Congenital Methemoglobinemia, Pomeranian Type, Hereditary Vitamin D-Resistant Rickets (HVDRR), GM1 Gangliosidosis, Alaskan Husky Type, Degenerative Myelopathy (DM; SOD1A), Day Blindness, Achromatopsia, Collie Eye Anomaly (CEA)

    Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).

    Andrea made the process simple from start to finish and beyond! She made sure my puppy was healthy and prepared for traveling (she used a trusted ground transport to send me my puppy door to door which was relatively inexpensive and worked well). The starter kit she sent my puppy home with was also very helpful and my Noel is making good use of the toys! As a first time pet owner, I was worried about how to raise a good dog. Andrea has kept in touch on the app, giving me good advice and encouraging me as Noel and I get to know each other. If you’re looking for a beautiful dog (Noel has already gotten compliments on how gorgeous she is) with a healthy family history and temperament (wow is Noel great with handling random loud sounds!) from a responsible breeder, I would definitely recommend purchasing a puppy from Andrea and Mountain High Kennels!

    Andrea is a great breeder, person and dog person. Last minute she delivered my 8 week Shetland Sheepdog 1/2 way, and her love and care of the puppy while she had him was superb. He was crate trained the first night; I couldn’t be happier with the entire experience.
