I'm Stacey O., the breeder behind Mountain Kraft K9 Kennel located in Windsor, CO. Our DDR/Czech Republic Working Line German Shepherds have sport and world champion competition lineage. Our dam is from z Berousnke basty in Czech Republic; our sire is from Sapphire Mountain in Montana. We specialize in working in tandem with families to determine if our puppy is the right fit.

Why did you start breeding?
GSD's are high surrender breeds; uneducated owners, improper placement and financially driven breeding are just a few preventable reasons. It must change and change starts with one breeder at a time. Our foster and rescue experience of GSD's cultivated a desire to help reduce recidivism by conscientiously pairing registered GSD's with qualified homes that agree to a screening and contract.What makes your program special?
Relationships matter. We love all our dogs like our own. We remain available during the early transition and hopefully there after to see them grow. All homes get a homemade scrapbook featuring weekly pictures collages, a weekly milestones and discoveries update and their daily growth chart. A binder containing pedigree, registration, microchip, GSD guides, and contract information is also provided in a puppy pack full of goodies.What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies are sable. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.Where do your breeding dogs live?

“Deposits will be excepted after application and interview process is completed. We accept Paypal, Venmo, or Cashier's Check. A $500 non-refundable deposit is expected to reserve a puppy and will be applied to the total cost upon pick-up.”

Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.

Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.

Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
