Meet the breeder

I'm Ashley C., the breeder behind Mountainside German Shepherds located in Dallas, PA. Our dogs are our pets and family members first and foremost. We spend countless hours daily with our pups and strive to raise them to be the friendly, outgoing, playful and loyal companions that they are. Raised in our home with children and our other dogs, they are very well socialized & loved ❤️.

Q. & A. with Ashley

  • Why did you start breeding?

I have always had a love for animals, we actually raise bunnies as well. From the time I had my first German shepherd, I knew I wanted to help bring quality dogs into this world. Dogs that people will know the parents come from good lines and have no known health issues. We also are always here for the life of any of our dogs, you can ask us questions anytime!
  • What makes your program special?

Our breeding programs #1 priority is to raise healthy and friendly family dogs. We have longcoats with American lines, a german import, and West German show lines. All have exceptional personalities and are beyond loyal and smart. Growing up around our young daughter and other dogs, these pups are very loving, sweet and playful. Little attention cravers actually! Come and meet our lovebugs today!
  • What are the different breed coat types in your program?

Our puppies include stock and long coat varieties. Coat types may vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include sable, black and tan, bi-color, black and red, blue, and white. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

They live in my home and a kennel on my property.

Ashley has been nothing short of amazing throughout this entire process. We picked up our fur baby this morning and as first time dog owners, I felt beyond prepared and confident. I was sent weekly pictures of my puppy, and had detailed updates about his personality and temperament. Also, Ashely included a gift bag of food and toys that we appreciated greatly. If we decide to get another pup in the future, I wouldn’t even hesitate to return to Ashley and recommend her to others. I cannot say enough good things about the entire 8 week process and our little fur baby, Zuby. If you’re looking as a first time dog owner, or just someone looking for their new bestfriend, you found the right breeder with Ashley!!

I loved working with Ashley, she was so sweet and kind when it came to asking about the pup, she always sent pictures of the pup weekly, and she always updated me in how he’s doing as well. If I were to get another puppy in the future, I will always go back to Ashley!

Couldn't have asked for a better couple/ breeder to deal with. I also don't think I could have ended up with a better puppy than the one I got. Sasha was Ashley's pick and I was very lucky to end up with her. All records were sent and made it super easy to register with the akc-- and easy transition to my new vet. Ashley's dogs are absolutely very well taken care of and I've had zero issues. I'm seriously considering adding another one to the house in about 6 months or so . And if I do I will not go to anyone else!

How did it go with Ashley from Mountainside German Shepherds? Well, Ashley was a great breeder from the start. From the very first conversation, she was communicative, knowledgeable, and genuinely cared about the puppies she was raising. She took the time to answer questions, provide updates, and make sure her puppies were going to loving homes. When we finally brought Mozart home, it was clear how much care and attention had gone into raising him during those early weeks. He is confident, curious, and already showing such a sweet personality. You can really see the foundation that was built before he came home with us. We’re incredibly grateful for the experience and for the beautiful puppy she trusted us with. Mozart has already brought so much joy into our home, and we’re excited to watch him grow. Thank you, Ashley, for raising such wonderful dogs and for making this experience so positive for us. P.S. we shall see you in another year or two for another <3
