I'm Dusty B., the breeder behind My K9 Guardian located in Fayetteville, AR. The working lines are used in the military and are also used as police dogs, sport dogs, personal protection dogs, and some make great active family pets. The working lines are going to be extremely smart; they may outsmart you a few times! They are going to be athletes. They will be able to jump and climb almost anything. They are going to be very loyal. They will be eager to learn. When bred and raised right, they are magnificent animals and amazing partners!
Q. & A. with Dusty
Why did you start breeding?
I was raised with the breed and started training with a German trainer when I was 11. My grandfather also trained and handled k9s in the military. The working German Shepherd is by far the smartest breed in my opinion and I would not have it any other way.
What makes your program special?
All of our dogs work. All of our dogs are imports or straight from imported breedings. All of our dogs are health tested to the max. Our puppies are temperament tested before you choose your puppy, that way you get the best fit for you! We also offer training to only puppies that we have produced.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home and a kennel on my property.

A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.

Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
