Meet the breeder

I'm Carly M., the breeder behind New Doods On The Block located in New Lenox, IL. We are excited to produce your New Dood On The Block that your neighbors, friends, and family will LOVE! Our puppies will come from health tested parents who also have their Canine Good Citizen Certificate. Our parent dogs come from generations of therapy dogs with passing health scores. Our puppies will be socialized and raised on an advanced puppy curriculum so they will adapt to all situations! We are Gold Level GANA breeders!

Q. & A. with Carly

  • Why did you start breeding?

My family raised a litter of Australian Shepherds for a breeder friend when I was in college, and it was one of the greatest experiences of my life. I've always dreamed of doing it again, so I have put years of research into being the best breeder I can be. I'm always learning more and striving to become better and better.
  • What makes your program special?

We are a family run business and Gold Level GANA certified. My two children are the master puppy socializers. We strive to train our dogs and puppies to their highest potential. Our foundation dog, Macie is a certified Therapy Dog, and Jasper has his Canine Good Citizen. We prioritize temperament and training above all else (except health, that's a huge part too!) Macie and Jasper have DNA and OFA testing completed.
  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

Our puppies include miniature, medium, and standard sizes. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include red and parti. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

They live in my home and guardian homes.
