Q. & A. with Michelle

  • Why did you start breeding?

I first got into breeding Bouviers because I was always fascinated by their strength, intelligence, and versatility. Growing up, I had a Bouvier as a family pet, and I was amazed by their loyalty and protective nature. This early experience sparked a deep love for the breed. As I got older, I wanted to contribute to preserving and improving the breed, so I started learning everything I could about breeding practices, genetics, and health. Eventually, I began my own breeding program with the goal of raising healthy, well-tempered Bouviers that would make excellent working dogs and family companions. It's been an incredibly rewarding journey, and I continue to be passionate about these amazing dogs.
  • What makes your program special?

What makes my own breeding program special is my dedication to the health, temperament, and overall well-being of my Bouviers. I prioritize responsible breeding practices, ensuring that my dogs are free from genetic disorders and have excellent temperaments. My program includes: 1. Health Testing: I conduct thorough health screenings “OFA”. for common Bouvier health issues, ensuring that only the healthiest dogs are bred. 2. Socialization: I very much focus on early socialization of the puppies, exposing them to various environments, people, and other animals to ensure they grow up to be well-adjusted and confident. Along with temperament testing. 3. Training: I incorporate basic training and obedience from a young age such as sit, stay, leash training etc. setting a strong foundation for the puppies' future homes. 4. Education: I provide ongoing support and education to new owners, helping them understand the breed's needs and characteristics. 5. Passion and Care: My genuine love and passion for Bouviers shine through in every aspect of my breeding program, making it a standout choice for anyone looking for a well-bred, healthy, and happy Bouvier. My upmost commitment to these principles ensures that My breeding program produces exceptional Bouviers that are not only beautiful and strong but also healthy and well-behaved.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies are black and fawn. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

We had an AMAZING experience buying our new good boy from Michelle. So responsive, knowledgeable, personable, relatable - I feel that I have a new friend. All this while she was experiencing the growth of her own (human) family - ha! What a wonderful human she is and I'd absolutely buy from her again. :)
