Kathleen J.

Breeder of German Shepherds

Meet the breeder

I'm Kathleen J., the breeder behind Nordwolfe located in Crown Point, IN. Temperament, Genetic Integrity, and Intelligence are above all the most important qualities I strive to maintain. A German Shepherd dog must be loyal, self-confident, courageous, and protective.

Q. & A. with Kathleen

  • Why did you start breeding?

I was unsatisfied by the temperament and nerves of this once versatile German Shepherd Dog Breed as well as seeing the health and structure decline. Many lines still showed intelligence, drive, and desire to work with their handler. I wanted to help bring them back to the breed that captured our attention so long ago.
  • What makes your program special?

We take deposits before our litters are on the ground and I work with my clients to find pairs that best fit with their goals. I, personally, have traveled over 1600 miles one way to use a specific stud that matched my client's needs. I use intelligent, agile lines of dogs mostly from working herding and scent detection lines. I want to see those gears working in my puppies’ happy gaze.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include sable and black. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

They live in my home and guardian homes.
