We could not be happier with our experience with Angela and North by Northwest Shilohs. Boaz, from the Lola/Indy Snow White litter and originally named Doc, arrived with us as an incredibly well-raised, confident, and well-socialized puppy. It is obvious how much time, care, and intentionality Angela put into raising and socializing the puppies from the very beginning. Boaz came to us already knowing how to sit and, amazingly, already enjoying his kennel. But what has impressed us most is just how confident and well-socialized he is. He has absolutely no fear or anxiety about new experiences. New sounds, sights, smells, people, places, and surfaces don’t seem to faze him at all. He loves car rides, happily walks across different surfaces, and approaches new situations with curiosity and confidence. Angela also clearly put a lot of effort into handling and desensitization while the puppies were young. Boaz happily lets us touch his paws and ears, brush his fur, and even brush his teeth. Those little things make such a huge difference when bringing a puppy home, and we are so grateful for the foundation she gave him. His temperament is everything we hoped for. He settled into our home and family immediately, with no adjustment period at all. Angela has small children of her own, and it shows in how naturally Boaz fits into a family with young kids. He is calm, confident, incredibly affectionate, and already such a wonderful family dog. He is a total Velcro puppy who follows me everywhere and is constantly looking for an opportunity to snuggle. He genuinely seems to just love being with his people. We couldn’t have asked for a better fit for our family. Angela was also incredible to work with throughout the entire process. She was extremely communicative before we purchased Boaz, while we were preparing for him, and even after he came home. She patiently answered a ton of our questions, gave us thoughtful recommendations, and even sent us specific products she thought would be helpful or that Boaz would enjoy. Her attention to his health was equally impressive. Before Boaz flew to us, she asked if there was anything additional we wanted his veterinarian to do while he was already there for his health certification. She happily added a fecal panel and had his rabies vaccination done since he was finally old enough. She made sure we received his veterinary records, microchip information, and everything else we needed. We live in Colorado, so initially the idea of purchasing a puppy from a breeder in Washington and having him flown to us sounded like it could be complicated. Angela made the entire process incredibly easy. She arranged Boaz’s flight, handled the logistics, and gave us clear instructions about exactly where to go and how to pick him up. All we had to do was show up at the airport and bring our puppy home. She made purchasing a puppy from across the country feel surprisingly simple. Angela is extremely knowledgeable about Shiloh Shepherds, but beyond that, you can see the quality of her breeding and puppy-raising program in the dogs themselves. She did an absolutely beautiful job raising Boaz and giving him such a strong foundation before he ever came to us. We wanted a calm, confident, affectionate, snuggly family dog, and that is exactly what we got. We absolutely adore Boaz and couldn’t be happier with him. I would wholeheartedly recommend Angela and North by Northwest Shilohs to anyone looking for a Shiloh Shepherd. We are incredibly grateful for the puppy she raised and for the care she put into making sure he was prepared to become part of our family.

This was a great experience getting our baby boy from Angela. Is was so helpful to read the puppy evaluations and discuss them with her. It really helped to find our best match. We picked Sneezy (yellow boy), named him Meeko (sometimes Fluff boy). Angela did a great job with these pups. Meeko was well on his way with Kennel and potty training. He's a sweet loving puppy and normal puppy chaos all rolled into one. Growing like a weed!
