I'm Emerald G., the breeder behind North Georgia Weims located in Talking Rock, GA. We love to responsibly raise and train our puppies so they have the tools to be well-rounded, beloved family members. The loyalty and loving disposition of this breed are simply the best! We put a great deal of effort into raising our litters to ensure our puppy families will have the best experience raising their new family members.

Why did you start breeding?
I grew up helping my grandfather with his dogs. He bred squirrel dogs when I was a small child. I loved going out and caring for the puppies and watching them grow. It is still one of my favorite memories as a child and I wanted my kids to experience the same things I did while helping teach them about responsibility and everything it takes to keep a tiny baby alive.What makes your program special?
We strive to make sure all of our babies are happy and healthy. We do everything we can to ensure the safety of our babies in their new homes. We offer a lifetime of breeder support and will always do our very best to help in anyway possible. The well being and health of our pups is our number one priority.What are the different breed coat types in your program?
Our puppies have smooth coats. Coat types may vary depending on the parent dogs.What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include silver gray, gray, and blue. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.Where do your breeding dogs live?

Hip Dysplasia (rDVM, not registered)
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Elbow Dysplasia (rDVM, not registered)
Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.
Eye Examination (rDVM, not registered with OFA)
Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.
Cardiac Evaluation (rDVM, not registered with OFA)
Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.
Spinal Dysraphism (SD), Hyperuricosuria (HUU), Hypomyelination, Weimaraner Type, DNA Disease Panel
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
