It is such an honor to preserve the line of these incredible dogs all the while creating companionship for others. The fulfillment of seeing new puppies born, watching them grow, and helping shape them and train them in preparation for their new forever homes is the most rewarding experience ever!What makes your program special?
My breeding program stands out amongst others because of the personal attention I give to every detail of the journey. I spend lots of time with my puppies and enjoy training and socializing them so that they will be best prepared for their new lives.Where do your breeding dogs live?

Carrie was great… Straight up Professional Breeder…She gave us regular updates and pictures with ZEKA and because of our busy holiday schedule she connected us with a ground transportation guy she uses to get ZEKA to us…Mr. Mike Bladwin was also great getting ZEKA to us across many states… Carrie was very Professional and cares where her pups go… Your screening process consists of her talking to you person to person the kind of Breeder in my opinion you want… She answered any and all questions I had down to genetics… Very thorough… I would definitely recommend North River K9 to someone interested in owning a Belgian Malinois as well as The Good Dog App to own a new dog with No Scams…

Great experience overall with Carrie / K9. She responded quickly to our inquiry, was transparent about her litter and breeding practices, provided detailed health info on the parents, and politely but effectively screened us as potential buyers. She isn't fancy and doesn't have a slick website or send cute long videos of puppies. But she's very straightforward and down to earth. Once she understood what we were looking for she recommended a specific puppy. That puppy has turned out to be a spectacularly good fit for our family. From our vet to our friends, people are amazed at how social, happy, and relaxed our puppy is. The puppy is also incredibly intelligent and healthy. We independently did an Embark test which confirmed 100% Malinois and clear of typical Malinois genetic health issues. We'd happily work with Carrie again.

My husband and I began researching Malinois in June 2023. After extensive research and exposure to the breed, we decided to bring one home for our next sport dog. We have a house full of dogs and 2 cats, so we knew we needed a stable and predictable temperament in our puppy. We researched ethical breeding practices and made a list of what was important for us in a breeder, and we began the search for a breeder in May 2024. After interviewing a few breeders that fell short of our requirements, I finally found Carrie August. I cannot recommend Carrie enough! I was so impressed with her diligence in placing her puppies. She had just as many questions about our knowledge, intentions, and means to properly fulfill and care for this breed as I had for her about her story and her breeding program. We agreed we were a good fit and after the mutual screening, and we brought our puppy home in September. Raven has been the most perfect addition to our pack. Carrie hand picked her for us as she was the most respectful of the older dogs in her own house, which has been so important to her learning manners and respect for the resident dogs we already had. She is everything we had hoped for and more, and I am so excited to see where we can go in our sporting endeavors! When the time comes for us to bring home another puppy, we will absolutely be seeking out Carrie’s breeding program!

+4Good communication with the breeder. Puppy was socialized to people and immediately took to my family. We picked him up directly from the breeder and got all paperwork and had all my questions answered. I was able to meet the dam and one litter mate. All were happy and friendly.
