I'm Barbara B., the breeder behind North Star Whippets located in Tucson, AZ. We're in-home breeders of Whippets who love showing our dogs in the daytime just as much as we enjoy snuggling with them at night! My dogs are a part of my family first and foremost. I offer top-quality puppies for families who share the same love and passion I do for these lovely companions. I look forward to connecting with you!
Q. & A. with Barbara
Why did you start breeding?
I strive to not only produce beautiful puppies and continue my show line, but to help set the standard for responsible breeding practices in order to ensure that the Whippet will continue to thrive for generations to come! It is an honor to represent this breed and create opportunities for others to do just the same.
What makes your program special?
North Star Whippets is committed to only breeding dogs that meet the strict guidelines for quality that we have deemed appropriate to improving this wonderful breed. My involvement in the show world speaks to the standards that I breed my dogs by. Each litter is carefully produced with a focus on temperament, health, and show quality. Once a litter is born, I carefully hand raise each puppy. When it's time, I am very conscious about who I rehome my puppies to, always ensuring that they go to families that are complementary to their lifestyle and personality. I want nothing more than to see each and every one of my puppies shine!
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.
