Meet the breeder

I'm Crystal D., the breeder behind Northern Graces' located in Fairbanks, AK. Our dogs are bred for health, structure, and temperament with a focus on conformation, athleticism and intelligence. Whether you’re looking for a show ring dog, performance/companion dog (agility, fastcat etc) or a pet to hang out with, we work to match you with a dog for your lifestyle and goals.

Q. & A. with Crystal

  • Why did you start breeding?

I fell in love with the American Eskimo Dog Breed when my dad adopted one from a local family some 20+ years ago. Their intelligence, attentiveness to their owners and their desire to please are among my favorite traits. I started breeding in 2017. These dogs are made for colder climates and my early litters have flourished up here in Alaska. My litters now go anywhere in the nation or Canada.
  • What makes your program special?

I put my whole heart and sole into each breeding. All of our dogs live in the house with us. We work on early neurological stimulation, early touch and socialization throughout the litters development. We expose them to challenges to overcome and watch how they process through these challenges. This breed is highly intelligent and loves to please their humans and our litters are no different.
  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

Our puppies are mini size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies are white. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.
