I'm Jennifer P., the breeder behind Northern Heart Standards located in Plainwell, MI. Our dogs are bred for health, temperament, and intelligence. We strive to produce the best overall pets and family members. We are dog lovers through and through! Our pups are such an important part of our lives, and we can’t imagine being without them. It’s an amazing experience as breeders to provide others with puppies that we know will bring them the same joy!

  • Why did you start breeding?

    Our missionary work in fostercare has led us to join in bettering the breed of the poodle. The poodle has shown very therapeutic to the emotional needs of our foster children. There is such an unbelievable healing that takes place when a child leans into the love and begins to build trust with the immeasurable,
  • What makes your program special?

    AKC bred with HEART, Canine Trainer and Evaluator. We use an 8 week, advanced service training curriculum with our pups. This program is centered on trust and respect and uses a positive reinforcement approach with life saving recall imprints. We strive to help each puppy reach its personal fullest potential and to deliver excellent customer experience to the beautiful families who support our mission. Thank you for viewing our page.   • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

    Our puppies include toy, miniature, moyen, and standard sizes. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our puppies include apricot, red, and parti. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Getting a puppy from Jennifer

Jennifer has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready to reach out, feel free to ask any questions about the breed, their program, or specific puppies.

Together, you’ll choose the puppy that’s right for you, stay in touch with regular updates, and plan how to bring your new puppy home.

Puppy prices include a $500 deposit and between $1,300 - $1,600 final payment, before taxes & fees.

“8 weeks service training to empower each puppy to reach its full potential. 11 point temperament testing evaluation. AKC microchipped and registered with AKC reunite, AKC registration. Health Guarantee 2 years. Health Certification by Certified Specialist Veterinarian and series of DAPPv vaccinations up to date with records provided. We take reservation deposits for upcoming litters of $250. We take $500 reservation fee to hold a puppy of your choice until pick up day at which time the rest of balance is due. We do offer delivery and payment completion is expected 24 hours before our departing flight. Every dollar goes back into fund our program. I mean every dollar is put back into our program. Refunds will be allowed for circumstances beyond control. Thank you for supporting our mission.”
