Q. & A. with Onji

  • Why did you start breeding?

My passion for breeding dogs was ignited during my childhood, watching my mother breed English Bulldogs. However, it was my love for German Shepherds that ultimately inspired me to pursue breeding as a passion. Determined to produce only the best, I embarked on a journey to breed not just German Shepherds, but exceptional quality German Shepherds. With dedication and a deep-seated commitment to excellence, I'm proud to say that I've achieved my goal of producing top-tier German Shepherds that will bring joy and companionship to their new families.

As a responsible and ethical breeder, I firmly believe that we hold a critical responsibility in shaping the future of the dog ecosystem. As guardians of the German Shepherd lineage, it is our duty to breed and nurture exceptional dogs that will continue to thrive for generations to come. My unwavering commitment to preserving the line of these incredible companions is matched only by my passion for producing top-quality German Shepherds that will enrich the lives of their new owners. With a deep sense of pride and purpose, I strive to ensure that every puppy finds its way into the best possible home, where it can flourish as a beloved and cherished lifelong companion.

This is the second adult Shepherd I have gotten from Onji and just like the first one, she was spot on with her description of Ophelia and I am so happy with her. She is overall a very sweet girl and is settling in nicely. I will hopefully be using her as a demo dog in my training classes just like Tam Tam and am so excited to see what we accomplish!

The entire adoption process was smooth and professional. Onji delivered the puppy exactly as promised and provided invaluable guidance on his care and transition. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for a dedicated and supportive breeder.

From the very start we were so impressed with Onji, I requested the puppy we wanted and within 5 minutes received a call reaching out asking a bit about us and answering all our questions. She seemed to really care about the pup and was very responsive with updates and even checked in to see how we were settling with her a week later. She provided all of the paper work and medical records making us feel very comfortable with our choice and giving us some peace of mind.

My experience with Onji was amazing! She is extremely responsive which was very comforting, especially for someone like me who had a million questions. She is extremely knowledgeable about the breed, and always had answers to specific concerns. Onji puts the health and wellness of the puppies above anything else which I deeply appreciated. Ralphie has been the best puppy, better than I could have imagined. He is so smart and such a quick learner, not to mention very handsome! Overall my experience was a 10/10!

Onji was very receptive and immediately addressed our need. We recently lost our GSD of 14 years and couldn’t wait for a family companion other than a GSD. We picked up Rosylynn and Onji helped me with all the initial needs and also responded immediately with our questions. Thank you onji for trusting us. We named her Princy and she is adorable and doing great.
