Meet the breeder

I'm Emily B., the breeder behind Oak & Soul Silken Windhounds and Mudi located in Rural Valley, PA. I am a small, home-based breeder focusing on temperament, drive, and function in everyday life. My dogs participate in many activities including but not limited to: nose work, agility, cadaver, SAR, straight racing, lure coursing, oval racing, obedience, and disc dogs.

Q. & A. with Emily

  • Why did you start breeding?

I’ve owned my breed for 10+ years now and I wanted a way to contribute and help build up this amazing breed.
  • What makes your program special?

In a breed that doesn’t do a lot of health testing or have strong puppy raising programs, we aim to always better our program through education. The care we put into making sure we are raising sound, confident puppies makes our program special! Our program focuses on producing higher drive dogs for sports and work.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

They live in my home and guardian homes.

Emily does an amazing job with her puppies and puts in an incredible amount of energy into setting them up for success by the time they are ready to go to their new homes. We are madly in love with our mudi puppy we got from Emily and she continues to be a great resource for training and health tips as time goes on.
