Oasis Cotonpoos

Ruth I.

Breeder of Assorted Doodle Crosses

Meet the breeder

I'm Ruth I., the breeder behind Oasis Cotonpoos located in Chicago, IL. Oasis Cotonpoos are wonderful companion dogs from the not well-known Coton de Tulear and the familiar Toy Poodle. My dogs are bred with health, genetics, intelligence, and other qualities in mind that make up a great dog. These F1 hybrids benefit from neurological stimulation, problem solving (at their level), great nutrition, AKC purebred parents, socialization and a home environment in which to thrive. "Coco" is the mom and will be retiring after her birthday in May 2023. It is doubtful that another female will take her place to continue Oasis Cotonpoos.

Q. & A. with Ruth

  • Why did you start breeding?

I've been interested in breeding dogs since 2003 but I waited until my schedule was clear to actively pursue it. Prior to 2003 I had pairs of breeding parakeets.
  • What makes your program special?

My dogs are F1 hybrids from AKC purebreds. My background makes me conscious of the extreme importance of life's very early days. I take their nutrients and stimulation very seriously. I've tried to synthesize the best of all the methods I could find with research that backs them up. The puppies are healthy and very happy.
  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

Our puppies are toy size. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include white and red. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.
