I'm Rebecca S., the breeder behind Obsidian Creek Doodles LLC located in Rexburg, ID. The loyalty and loving disposition of this breed are simply the best! We put a great deal of effort into raising our litters to ensure our puppy families will have the best experience raising their new family members. Our puppies are given extra experiences every day to help them grow and develop.

  • Why did you start breeding?

    I researched breeding for years before I tried it. It was so important to me to get it right!! I was blessed with the chance to learn from other amazing breeders who showed me the basics. But the basics have never been enough for me! I added in vital experiences- scheduled week by week- for my puppies to help them grow physically, mentally, and socially. Now it's my passion and I'll never go back!

  • What makes your program special?

    At Obsidian Creek Doodles, we do all the basics (health testing, genetics testing, Socialization, vet wellness checks, etc) but we also add in lots of extras!! We introduce early training skills to give puppies a solid foundation, we conduct Early Neurological Stimulation and Early Scent Introduction and Desensitization exercises, each puppy is given Volhard's Puppy Aptitude Test, and more!

  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

    Our puppies include miniature and medium sizes. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Our puppies include cream, apricot, chocolate, black, phantom, merle, and parti. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home and guardian homes.

Puppy prices include a $500 non-refundable deposit and between $700 - $1,500 final payment, before taxes & fees.

    Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.

  • Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)

    Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.

  • Cardiac Evaluation (registered with OFA)

    Heart testing reduces the chance of passing down congenital heart disease, which can cause a range of symptoms ranging from trouble exercising to heart failure.

    Obsidian Creek Doodles was the best possible experience when choosing a puppy to come home. Rebecca was extremely responsive throughout the entire process and was there for us whenever we had a question as first time dog owners.
