Meet the breeder

I'm Marie C., the breeder behind O’Cuana Japanese Chin located in Florida. We are breeders who do everything we can to better the breed and ensure our dogs and puppies are able to get the very most out of life. All my dogs are carefully bred and fully health tested. I carefully choose the sire and dam in order to produce the best quality possible.

Q. & A. with Marie

  • Why did you start breeding?

In my younger days, I was apprenticed to a wonderful breeder of top winning Irish and soft-coated Wheaten terriers. She taught me how to breed and whelp a litter. I breed with an eye for the phenotype in addition to genotype.
  • What makes your program special?

I am very selective and only have one or two litters a year.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.
