I'm Dani N., the breeder behind Odom's German Shepherds located in Springtown, TX. Our dogs are bred for longevity and health, stable temperament and adaptability, athleticism, intelligence and strong human bonds. We have produced the most dedicated companions who compete in Agility, Tracking, rally etc., medical service & emotional support dogs, and instinctive protectors.

Why did you start breeding?
My family bred and raised German Shepherds my entire life. I have always been interested in breeding and am truly passionate about my dogs. I had a hard time appreciating certain traits of other breeders' lines and decided that I would produce them myself. Its not easy but so worth it- and I am so happy to be able to share these wonderful dogs with other loving families and individuals.What makes your program special?
I wanted to produce dogs that have the potential to excel within various venues-to naturally protect without training, to have the stance and stride of a show dog, and the speed and agility of a working dog. By also emphasizing the importance of socialization and human interaction, you are then able to produce the best, beloved companions. That is the goal of my program.What are the different breed coat types in your program?

"Pre-registered with AKC limited registration, health guarantee as detailed in contract, microchipped, up-to-date vaccinations, dewormed, and a lifetime of breeder support. We match each puppy to their future home based on many aspects. If there isn't a match, the deposit rolls to the next litter. If the buyer cancels, there is no refund. If we cancel, it is refunded."

Program update on 17 Feb •…Grazie is learning to walk on and off leash. Following simple commands like sit, follow, leave it. She's started crate training, house breaking, and introducing to other dogs and farm animals.

Litter update on 11 Feb •…Puppies are 12 weeks old today! Grace is our last girl left. Her ears are up and they have gone into the sable puppy "naked stage" where their coat has no guard hairs, this is what their under coat will look like under soon the beautiful black guard hairs that will come in over the next months.

Program update on 20 Jan •…Puppies have gotten so big and are almost ready to go home! They'll have their third round of shots Friday. They are getting their microchips tomorrow at 9 weeks old and start going home soon! We're so excited for our new families to meet their furry members. We've crated for 6 hours, met large and small stranger dogs, been introduced to chickens, pigs, goats and the resident porch kitty.

Program update on 08 Jan •…The pack has been meeting more pups of various sizes, goats, chickens and pigs. We've started crating for short periods, have already figured out doggie door for potty, and are starting to howl! Sit has become regular practice, recall is being taught, and leave it has been introduced.

Program update on 13 Nov 2025 •Ears are almost all the way up, most of our puppies have gone home, and the rest are getting crate trained and moving on from sit, come, and wait.

Litter update on 18 Sept 2025 •Puppies are 3 weeks! Eyes open and toddling around like pros. They're chirping those cute little barks and lifting paws at each other to play🥰

Litter update on 18 Nov 2024 •…Puppies are 5 weeks and have discovered the great outdoors! They've had their first puppy shot and dewormer! They're eating solid puppy food and have already learned how to use the doggy door. We're working on migrating all bathroom use to the outdoors but right now they are using wood pellet litter as they transition. Personalities are starting to show, some are more inquisitive, some a little more reserved. All are absolutely thriving and desire human interaction and attention! We're introducing new stimuli -different flooring and surfaces, sounds and smells!

Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)
Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.
Degenerative Myelopathy (DM; SOD1A)
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
