Meet the breeder

I'm Ekaterina O., the breeder behind Oltann Griffons located in Pittsburgh, PA. I focus on intentional breeding by working with breeders from different countries so that I can produce quality puppies that are excellent representations of the standard. In addition to my responsible breeding program, I love participating in the show ring with my dogs!

Q. & A. with Ekaterina

  • Why did you start breeding?

I have an education in animal genetics, nutrition and veterinarian medicine, and before I moved to the USA, I worked as a vet assistant for five years. Dogs were always my passion; I knew I could do well as a breeder. In 2022, I decided to breed my Am GCH Tamara, and she produced a beautiful puppy.
  • What makes your program special?

I know how genetics works, and understanding it is very important before you breed any animal! My dogs raised in a healthy environment, and all my breeding stock DNA tested and health tested before I breed them. Puppies raised by Puppy Culture protocol.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include black and tan and red. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Our experience with Katya has been in all ways wonderful. Oscar is a very handsome, spunky Griff who has brought so much joy to our lives. Katya cares deeply about the breed and is very thoughtful and responsible in her approach to breeding and raising her puppies. Communication was always excellent. Since we took Oscar home she has continued to be very generous with her time and has had invaluable advice about raising and caring for Oscar. Oscar is a rough coat Griff - and Katya has taught us how to groom him and even helped us groom him - which has been amazing. We couldn't not be happier with our experience working with Katya and we are so grateful we were lucky enough to make Oscar part of our family.
