I'm Jackie O., the breeder behind Olveras Hound of Ohio located in Columbus, OH. I strive to produce quality puppies for families that are structurally sound, healthy, intuitive, and have wonderful temperaments. As a breeder, I feel a sense of responsibility to prioritize the overall health and temperament of each of my puppies and to ensure that they are loved and well cared for before joining their forever homes.

Why did you start breeding?
My life revolves around my dogs and meeting their needs both socially and medically. I strive to bring you the healthiest, most well-rounded puppies. I am very proud to be breeding these incredible dogs. It is important to me that I am breeding versatile, well-rounded, socialized, and healthy pups for my buyers to welcome into their homes and hearts.What makes your program special?
My dogs and puppies are considered members of my family, and they get the best care I can possibly provide. My commitment is to provide you with a professional and friendly puppy-buying experience. That includes always having responsible practices for breeding, training, and rehoming my puppies. I am very dedicated to what I do and what I aim to achieve as a breeder. I work with passion, heart, and integrity, and I truly want what's best for the Basset Hound line.What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include tan and white, black brown and white, lemon and white, and black white and brown. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.
Getting a puppy from Jackie
Jackie has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready to reach out, feel free to ask any questions about the breed, their program, or specific puppies.
Together, you’ll choose the puppy that’s right for you, stay in touch with regular updates, and plan how to bring your new puppy home.
Price
Puppy prices include a $400 non-refundable deposit and between $1,700 - $2,100 final payment, before taxes & fees.

“The price includes Akc registration, first round of shots, vet check and puppy socialization. Deposit is non refundable but transferable to another litter. Deposit will be transferred to a different litter if something makes their chosen puppy no longer available.”

Jackie is a top notch breeder. She is passionate about the Bassett Hound breed and it is obvious that she takes excellent care of her dogs. She updated us with pictures and videos of our puppy. She answered all of our questions promptly throughout the process. We can’t believe how well adapted our puppy came to us. She whined when we left but allowed us to comfort her and settled in my lap shortly into our 3 hour car ride. She was easy to put down to bed simply sitting by her playpen for 5-10 minutes each night and she slept through the night from the third night. She adapted to our schedule in less than a week and we were able to return to work. When we checked on her on our camera, we were amazed at how she ate and drank from her bowls attached to her playpen like Jackie had set up and then returned to sleep. She has been extremely easy to potty train with the training Jackie started. She goes on a pad in the back of her playpen when we aren’t home and is eager to go outside for us when we are home. We feel truly grateful for all the support Jackie has given us to help make our family complete with our newest addition Addy.

+6Jackie was amazing and so easy to work with! she answered all my questions thoroughly and was very prompt. As soon as the process started, I felt very comfortable and felt like I had known her for years! We named our little guy Buster and he has brought so much joy back in our home, since we lost our other boy tragedically, from a hit and run a few months back. Buster is very happy, playful and has become very popular in our community in such a short amount of time. I can’t even put a number on how many compliments he has received stating how beautiful he is. He has very exquisite markings and his eyes have a way of pulling you in, like a book you do not want to stop reading. I would recommend Jackie to anyone who interested in this breed! She really does breed beautiful dogs.
