I'm Robin G., the breeder behind Orleans Old English Sheepdogs located in Met AI Rie, LA. Preserving the breed has been my goal since 2004, with an emphasis on health and temperament. From researching breeding pairs and conducting health testing, to purposefully raise each pup with loving socialization so that they fit seamlessly into your family. We have produced therapy and champion dogs that went on to Westminster along with special visits with critical cancer patients. All my children were raised with Old English Sheepdogs. I do fall in love with each baby and I am so gratefull to give a piece of my heart when I place a puppy in your arms.
Q. & A. with Robin
Why did you start breeding?
I had a male named Forrest and I wanted to keep his bloodline going. He was a very smart, healthy, handsome gentleman. His pedigree was from lines that were brought over to the U.S. from Europe. I wanted a puppy from him because he was that special to me to keep his bloodlines going. I thankfully was able to breed him to a female from the #1 kennel in the U.S. to start my foundation and have kept the bloodlines alive ever since.
What makes your program special?
Breeding for good temperaments, health, beauty, and brains. Raised in our home underfoot. Socialized with children other pets and all the sounds and smells from a home environment.
What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies are blue and white. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
Where do your breeding dogs live?
They live in my home.
