Meet the breeder

I'm Twyla O., the breeder behind Osborn's Country German Shepherds located in Bear Lake, MI. Our German Shepherds are raised in the country. They are bred for good health with family and home protection a top priority. The parent dogs for this litter have been OFA hip and elbow x-rayed with no evidence of dysplasia certified. Also have Embark testing with Degenerative Myelopathy clear results. These puppies are raised inside our home and will be very socialized by 8 weeks.

Q. & A. with Twyla

  • Why did you start breeding?

We had a German Shepherd given to us after he became possessive of their personal belonging. He was a wonderful dog that just needed some directions and obedience training, but he developed hip issues around 7-8 years old. It was then I realized the difference in responsible breeding by not breeding dogs with hip issues. Our parent dogs have come from breeders that did the background work also by having the hip testing done before breeding. We have also done that with this litter. They will come with a health guarantee.
  • What are the different breed coat types in your program?

Our puppies have stock coats. Coat types may vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies are black and tan. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

  • Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)
