I'm Nancy P., the breeder behind P & P Shepherds located in Pelham, NC. Due to safety and biosecurity concerns, we do not allow anyone at our place or any interaction with puppies' wile in our care. Our safety and the safety and health of our animals is our top priority. We only meet in public at time of pick up when pups are ready to go home. NOW REQUIRING A FILLED OUT PUPPY APPLICATION AND A SIGNED CONTRACT TO PURCHASE A PUPPY AND TO BE ON WAITLIST.

Why did you start breeding?
It all started with one German Shepherd and that changed everything. I fell in love with the breed and just had to have more. They are the best breed I have ever had. Smart, funny, fun, protective and loyal till the end.What makes your program special?
I am not bias like some breeders with the colors and markings/patterns they can come in. I love them all. They are all naturally occurring in the breed.What are the different breed coat types in your program?
Our puppies include stock and long coat varieties. Coat types may vary depending on the parent dogs.What are the different breed coat colors in your program?
Our puppies include panda, isabella, black and tan, black and red, blue, and liver. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.Where do your breeding dogs live?

Nancy has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready to reach out, feel free to ask any questions about the breed, their program, or specific puppies.

Puppy prices include a $500 non-refundable deposit and between $2,175 - $3,500 final payment, before taxes & fees.

“The price includes: registration paperwork, age appropriate shot(s), age appropriate deworming, microchip, puppy packet with all information in it, toy and small bag of food to transition to new food. Deposit is nonrefundable and goes towards total amount.”

Program update on 08 Oct. •…Just an update, all AKC litters are sold with limited rights. That’s the price listed. With the option of getting full rights after two years of age and all health testing is done (if I approve you). Full rights will be offered to approved and established breeders. Prices for full rights are different but listed. All inquiries must fill out in full a puppy application. If approved, a signed contract is required to be placed on waitlist and to purchase a puppy.

Program update on 14 Sept. •Posted plan breedings. Prices have changed and updates to the puppy application have been made. If interested in any of the matings then a fill out in full puppy application is required. If approved then a signed contract is required to be placed on the waitlist for whichever mating you are interested in.

Litter update on 20 Aug. •6 week pics are finally uploaded. It’s been busy around here so it took me a wile. Got first bath, nails trimmed and microchipped today.

Litter update on 17 Aug. •…6 weeks old. Snapped a a pic of each after feeding so they are dirty. They have gotten too big for me to hold with one hand and I don’t want to chance dropping them. Will try get them tomorrow and update each puppies profile.

Litter update on 16 Aug. •…‼️ATTENTION PUPPY PARENTS ‼️ Pick up dates I’d like to be between the 28th and 31st since the 31st they turn 8 weeks and I have a litter due on the 29th plus other things going on. Once it gets closer to those days we can touch base and pick a date and time. Final payment must be made at least 3-4 days ( next week) before pick up to make sure it clears.

Hip Dysplasia
Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.
Elbow Dysplasia Finals (OFA, BVA, SV, FCI)
Elbow testing reduces the chance of passing down elbow dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause arthritis in the elbow joint and front leg lameness.
DNA Disease Panel, Degenerative Myelopathy (DM; SOD1A)
Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).

Nancy was such a pleasure to work with, very timely responses and able to answer any questions that arose. We got weekly update pictures until it was finally time to pick our sweet girl up. You can tell how much love and care is put into these dogs, our Ziva girl is so well tempered and loving. She has quickly become my daughter's best friend and I'll be the first to admit we may very well end up with another pup from one of Nancy's future litters as well!
