John M.

Breeder of German Shepherds

Meet the breeder

I'm John M., the breeder behind PAK Shepherds located in Centerburg, OH. PAK Shepherds is a Central Ohio–based German Shepherd program specializing in long coat West German Showline dogs. Our focus is simple: produce well-balanced dogs with strong structure, stable temperaments, and the ability to thrive in real family environments.

Q. & A. with John

  • Why did you start breeding?

I didn’t get into breeding overnight. It started with my own German Shepherds and a deep interest in understanding the breed beyond just owning one. The more I learned about bloodlines, structure, and temperament, the more I realized how important those early decisions are. Over time, that turned into a commitment to build something of my own. Now, everything I do is focused on raising dogs the right way from day one and helping place them in homes where they’ll thrive.
  • What makes your program special?

We at Pak Shepherds prioritize the well-being and happiness of our dogs above all else. Through meticulous breeding practices, we strive to maintain the breed's integrity, intelligence, and noble characteristics. Our dedication to responsible breeding ensures that our German Shepherds are not only beautiful and intelligent but also physically sound and free from genetic defects.
  • What are the different breed coat types in your program?

Our puppies have long coats. Coat types may vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include black, black and red, and black and tan. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

A non-refundable deposit secures your spot on our list and goes toward your puppy. This allows us to plan placements and match each puppy to the right home."
