I'm Pam W., the breeder behind Pam's Weimaraners located in Michigan. We are professional handlers of Weimaraners. It is our goal to produce healthy, show-quality puppies with wonderful temperaments! As breeders, we are stewards of the future of the Weimaraner, so we are careful to always maintain ethical breeding practices. This includes proper health testing, intentional breeding for specific traits, and raising our puppies with plenty of socialization. Our goal is to ensure every dog from our program is set up to live a happy and healthy life and is prepared for their future role. We look forward to connecting with you!

  • Hip Dysplasia

    Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.

  • Eye Certification (CAER, registered with OFA)

    Eye testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide range of hereditary eye illnesses including retinal dysplasia, lens luxation, and glaucoma, which can cause impared vision or blindness.

  • Thyroid (Autoimmune Thyroiditis, registered with OFA)

    A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.

  • Spinal Dysraphism (SD), Hyperuricosuria (HUU), Hypomyelination, Weimaraner Type

    Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
