I'm Hillary C., the breeder behind Peaceful Valley Paws located in Valley, WA. We are a small, in-home breeding program where we prioritize giving each dog and puppy the best care that we can. We cherish all of our animals and enjoy sharing the love of this breed with other individuals and families! Our puppies come with UTD vaccination and de-wormed started at 2 weeks and continued every 14 days until the pup is picked up. They will have a wellness check prior to going to new their new home. We spend every day with the puppies to ensure proper socialization. Our puppies are part of our family, and they are introduced to different people and other animals. They will have a good start on potty training as we use pellets and a potty tray starting at 3 weeks old. Due to the safety of the dogs and puppies we do not allow visitors for choosing of a puppy, but we can meet via Zoom and or we can send as many videos or pictures possible until you have made the perfect choice. We look forward to working with each and every family to find the perfect puppy for you. Please note that breeding rights need to be discussed with breeder and will be considered for the right situations and applicants, with a separate application.

  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

    Basset Hound puppies include black and white, blue and white, mahogany and white, lemon and white, red and white, blue tan and white, and black brown and white. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.

  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Getting a puppy from Hillary

Hillary has been certified by Good Dog’s screening team for responsible and trusted breeding practices. When you’re ready to reach out, feel free to ask any questions about the breed, their program, or specific puppies.

Together, you’ll choose the puppy that’s right for you, stay in touch with regular updates, and plan how to bring your new puppy home.

Puppy prices include a $500 non-refundable deposit and between $1,000 - $2,500 final payment, before taxes & fees.

“The price includes the health guarantee, CKC registration (pet price $2000). Breeding rights considered with separate application. First 2 rounds of vaccinations, deworming, puppy socialization, vet health check, going home bag. A deposit of $500 dollars, nonrefundable to secure your pup. This deposit will be deducted from your total when you finish paying for your pup.”

This helps protect both you and your breeder, ensuring that you both have a clear understanding of the terms of your puppy purchase.     Hillary has been there for me from day one, always there to answer questions about Bassets and the occasional photo of JoJo as she's grown. If it were only the response and knowledge sharing (with photos), that in itself would be enough. She's made recommendations along the way which have enabled me to be as ready as humanly possible when I brought Miss Josey McCoy home this past weekend (8/24&25/2004). The meet and greet went smoothly, and she was wonderful in showing me everything with shots and care was up to date. She even packed a car package with a favorite toy, blanket that smelled like home, and some food for the trip home. If ever I am in the need for another Basset Hound puppy, I wouldn't even look online, but just see what she had in the works. Miss JoJo is the best!

    Hi Hillary. I am so sorry it has been a bit of time until this note but Charlotte has kept us very busy. Thank you for your help in adopting Charlotte. You made the process effortless and your communication was excellent. Charlotte is doing very well and has already grown to 16.2 lbs. She will receive her third set of shots in mid December and will be ready to meet the world. Our other basset hound, Ginger, has adapted to life with a younger sister and they are playing together very well (although Charlotte tires her out). Again thank you for your wonderful help and we will stay in touch.
