We just got back from vet. Dr. Anderson said all three puppies are in excellent condition including the positioning of all their k9s. In two weeks we will get them their next set of shots as well as their microchips! The puppies were introduced to my other dogs and spent some time in my very protected yard. They love it outside!!

Puppies got an upgrade to their living space! They are being introduced to new stimuli along with a patch of grass they are encouraged to potty on. So far they have been good about pottying on the pads/grass. We will continue to encourage a specific place to go to help with potty training in the future. All three puppies are getting used to car rides everyday with minimal anxiety. Noise stressors have also been introduced including: fireworks, doorbells, sirens, other animal calls, trains, and babies to name only a few. After their first set of immunizations next week, I will start to take them out into the community in protected areas so that they may experience a myriad of people (including little hands), as well as environmental changes. More pictures to come…!🙂

Puppies went on their first long car ride today, traveling one hour each way. The sweet puppies didn’t seem bothered at all by the change in their surrounding or the movement of the car. I will continue to take the puppies on these car rides to reinforce this behavior thereby removing and potential stressors regard cars.

Canute is such a little love bug! When his sisters try to wrestle he stops the movement by laying on top of them 😂! He has already figured out how to escape the whelping box and snuggle himself in their octopus!

Carrie and Mark B.
Cyra is such a social girl. She is always down to get some snuggles from people or playtime with her litter mates! She loves the the scrubs during bath time. She is always the first to check out changes to her environment trying out all the new toys!

Puppies are 4 weeks old today and eating like little champs!

Puppies have graduated from sponge baths to big puppy tub! At first they were unsure but as the scrubbing started they found they really enjoyed it! After the bath I introduce the hair dryer on all of them. Surprisingly, the noise and warm air didn’t even phase them! All three are such good, calm, loving little babies!

Puppies are being introduced to puppy chow. They are all growing so stinking fast and starting to explore their surroundings more and more. Soon they will be able to get out of the whelping box and run around.

Puppies spent some time with my daughter today! It is so good for them to be held by different people!!

About Freyja
Freyja is a very sweet and gentle hound, who is also very patient and great with kids. She loves to play (even if she runs out of steam pretty quick) and she is a really good companion while taking great care of her puppies. Freyja attended her first show the second weekend in June. She blue ribboned two days in a row, and won her first points toward her champion. Freyja comes from an exceptional champion blood line from Maple Street Bassets in Alabama. Her dad is a Czech import and her grandma came from Italy.

About Alrik
Alrik is about as gentle of a dog as you can imagine. He was born to be a companion. From the time he was born due to his sheer size I thought he would be a bit domineering, but he is the furthest thing from it. He is a gentle giant, and the best dog I have ever had on a leash. He loves other dogs, but he truly loves people and still tries to be a lap dog despite his size. From the time he was tiny the neighbors brought their kids by almost daily to play with the puppies. Alrik never once nipped, barked, or growled even though sometimes the kids played a bit rough. He is just built different. He has beautiful markings, with a rich reddish brown over white, and despite his ultimate "sad puppy" eyes, he is a very very happy boy! He is ready to offer stud services and he will make beautiful happy puppies.

Carrie was amazing to work with. She does an amazing job setting the puppies up for life from the beginning. She does an amazing job with desensitization to fireworks, loud noises, nail trimmings, and life in general. Millie (Birsa) could have cared less about the fireworks on the 4th. Carrie worked extensively to socialize the puppies to children and adults, visiting her children's school classroom, gymnastic events. Millie is 100% sweet and such an easy puppy to train. I plan on getting another puppy from Peach Blossom Bassets when the time is right.

I had the absolute pleasure of getting my adorable Basset Hound puppy, Flapjack, from Peach Blossom Basset, and I cannot recommend Mark and Carrie enough! From the very first moment I reached out to them, their communication was prompt and thorough. Even though I live in California and they’re in Idaho, I was able to FaceTime with them and see Flapjack before pick-up, which was such a reassuring experience. It was clear from the start how much love and care they put into raising their puppies. Mark and Carrie genuinely wanted to ensure I was the right fit for Flapjack, and I really appreciated that. They’ve been incredibly supportive throughout the entire process, offering advice on food, treats, and puppy behaviors. Even now, we stay in touch through text and email, and I love sharing updates on Flapjack and keeping up with his siblings. If you’re looking for a kind, attentive, and responsible breeder, I highly recommend Peach Blossom Basset. The entire experience was fantastic, and I couldn’t be happier with my new furry family member!

Carrie and Mark were wonderful to work with! Our puppy, Wyatt, is so sweet and has such a wonderful temperament. He's so chill and non-reactive that his trainer uses him as a sample dog for other reactive dogs to work with! We are so lucky to have gotten him and cannot recommend Carrie and Mark enough. They obviously raise their puppies extremely well and care for them so much. Thank you both!
