Teresa C.

Breeder of Goldendoodles

Meet the breeder

I'm Teresa C., the breeder behind Penny located in Layton, UT. We believe in responsible breeding in a loving, nurturing home. Our kids adore playing with Penny, our Goldendoodle, and help raise pups with care and kindness. Every dog is family, and we’re committed to giving them the best start in life—happy, healthy, and well-socialized.

Q. & A. with Teresa

  • Why did you start breeding?

We began breeding to create a meaningful, hands-on experience for our family, teaching our kids love, responsibility, and the joy of raising happy, healthy puppies in a caring home.
  • What makes your program special?

Our breeding program follows professional standards, but we’re not a breeding farm—we’re a loving family with one amazing Goldendoodle, Penny. She’s part of our daily life. This is her second (and last) litter, raised in our home with care, love, and socialization, ensuring every pup gets the best possible start.
  • What are the different breed sizes in your program?

Our puppies include miniature and medium sizes. Sizes will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • What are the different breed coat colors in your program?

Our puppies include apricot, chocolate, and parti. Colors will vary depending on the parent dogs.
  • Where do your breeding dogs live?

    They live in my home.

Breeder-Reported Testing

Good level

Penny reports to performing the health tests below on their breeding dogs. Ask your breeder about the tests performed on the parents of your litter. Learn more about health testing for Goldendoodles.

  • Hip Dysplasia (rDVM, not registered), Hip Dysplasia

Hip testing reduces the chance of passing down hip dysplasia, which is primarily found in large breed dogs and can cause hip pain and the eventual loss of the function of the hip joint.

  • Vet Wellness Exam

A breeder may perform additional tests on their dogs that do not fall into these general categories. These tests may be more uncommon or very specific to a particular breed.

  • DNA Disease Panel

Genetic testing reduces the chance of passing down a wide variety of hereditary diseases of differing prevalence and severity such as Progressive Retinal Atrophy (an eye disease) and Von Willebrand's Disease (a blood disease).
